This photo has come grate texture. I love it.

when I worked here it was a Chapel, the gym was across the street in the administration building. underground the Chapel was a 2 lane bowling alley along with storage rooms. these rooms contained ballroom gowns from long ago. this campus was a nice place to work - lots of times the "scary" noises were the patients hallucinating. it was not a horrible place when I worked there. in inclement weather the tunnels were used to get to the other side of campus. this is a great picture, it brings back many memories.

i know its just me watching too much hollywood, but these pics always make me think *first impression...did they leave in a hurry?* lol.

was it in the same area as the prone gurney? if so i'd say it was the head of a doll or dummy...when you think of the prone gurney that looked too small i wonder if this was a children's ward? perhaps?

my nieghbor worked there as a nurse. She lived in Bay Shore.

They are mechanical lift straps.

We mark everything that belongs on our unit, from wheelchairs to the beds themselves!

Well, one probably would write on it to identify where it belongs, say the name of the ward or unit.
