It's actually right across the street from a small private college. It's a favorite exploration site for me and my friends. I've stood on the exact spot this shot was taken on, but I think the fire last summer destroyed that building.

it looks kinda like someone was trying to dig out with a spoon, and if it those were nail marks they would be going straight up and down....not curved. but my guess is that someone was looking out the window screaming to get out and just pounding with a cup or digging into the door with a spoon. but if it is nail marks...ouch!
