Thanks, people usually read from top to bottom on both web sites and physical literature, and the progression of newer posts below makes it easier to read in case a newer comment refers to something previously mentioned - otherwise you'd need to skip down to the reference and then go back up.
My son has the exact same one as the toy on the right, its hanging on his crib and even though hes supposed to be having a nap, I can hear him playing with it right now. A little creepy, I come across this picture and get the exact sound effects of the toy.
I love those chairs! Very Eames Era(ish).
I think the balloons were for birthdays, there are 12 balloons, 1 for each month?. We had the same kind of thing in preschool.
I think the before pictures are just stunning really...what a contrast to the now. How sad really.....I guess that really means all things come to an 'end'......but sad too......
I agree with everyone in this thread. What a beautiful 'before' photos...how sad its now in ruins....shame on them for it looking like that. For destroying what was so welcoming to patients back in the day.
Those are great photos, Andy, thanks much. What a difference from the than & now photos. How sad. All the work that went to making it beautiful...and now it looks like this. How sad really. It would probably cost too much money to re use the old building now right? What a shame really. What a shame.
Hi again Motts: Great photos as always. I've seen this place on other web sites too. I'm not too crazy about the solarium area. For some reason to me it seems out of place or doesn't belong there. Just strange to me. Of course the 'before' picture is much better than the after (always right) . Also: Just a question re: the comments section-why is the most recent comments on the bottom istead of at the top? Just wondering thats all. I do love your web site. Its great keep the photos coming ok.
thats a very beautiful place. i find hauted things very intristing. i have always lived in a house that was haunted and i have come to enjoy it as i got older. when i was younger i couldn't stand it. i almost ran away because of it. now i just say hello and move on..
