Just happened to think about Rocky Point and found this site. I worked there in the mid to late 80's, mainly painting signs and later in management. I'm a high school math teacher in Missouri now, and those were some of the best days of my life! I did touch up the cars in the House of Horrors. It's so great to see the interest in the park never died - unfortunately, greed and corruption was its demise. I had the pleasure of seeing "You Must Be This Tall" by David Bettencourt. It's a great documentary, Take care everyone!

Hey does anyone remember the fire that was on Ward D? ( my ward) and h ow they kept us all in the building? and i recall having to sleep on the Activities room floor for weeks. I lost everything!!! I was the one who noticed and told staff , whom were in change of shift and not one staff was in the hall.....

I think it was john woodier he was on ward A in the last room on the left after the bend, "next to the exhaust fan in the window, across from the back door that lead down to the fenced in area and the classrooms near the wood shop." The first room on the left "after the seclusion rooms and across from the rec room" was audrie and Shawna's room. There was a colored picture in the doorway that said " shawna+john". That's the john I'm talking about. He was a big muscular kid that people were afraid of. When he told me I could go out with shawna I told him I didn't want to because I thought he was trying to find out if I liked his girlfriend, but then I saw the picture off the doorway later. That's the john. If its not woodier what is it.
