I had a childhood friend whose father was a surgeon at Pilgrim State and I spent many a day roaming the grounds of the hospital in the mid to late sixties. I believe the big mansion you see in these pictures was the residence of the head surgeon (no pun intended) and one the other residences, which were quite nice was where my friends family lived.
