I can almost see the local land spirits using this as a grand ball room to gather for feasts and merry making.

I remember this passageway as a kid, 40 plus years ago. It was creepy then. These photos bring back memorie of the past and create new ones.

HAve you ever seen "Spirited Away" ? It was about an abandoned amusement park inhabited by the land spirits, or what the old Norse called Landvættir . These photos evoke that sense that the forest land spirits have taken over this forgotten place. Really beautiful.

My father worked for Picker in the 40"s and 50's. I remember working on this Model in the 70"s, it was old then and talk about being heavy, Its transformer was about 700 lbs compared to todays HF transformers that weight about 50 lbs. Calibration took all day todays equipment takes 5 minutes.

Yes I played for Mel a lot from my Buddy Rich days 1975 through 1978', and then every year through the 80s until 1989 when he would tour a bit or play Michaels Pub in NYC.
