They likely still own the machine, parking them like this is basically storage. Getting a new dragline made is millions of dollars and can take years. Machines left in this state can be rebuilt and used again if the market changes, for significantly less money and time than buying a new one. If they find a buyer or a new property to move it to, then they will dismantle and move it then. There is no easier or cheaper way to store draglines than just like this. If the company is leaving the land, then they might scrap it, but until that happens they are worth more like this.

Really? I had no idea about those. In all honesty I never seen the balcony in photos, the most I had to go off from was a floor plan which just looked like a U. I wasn't even sure if it actually existed. I really do love that dining hall though, it was definitely one of its best features... I hope there was a reason why they demolished it other than "expansion"

Oh the side stairs are my invention I think though :o in some places I implemented my own ideas for sake of creativity. I'd like to think my Halcyon Hall best represents what it would look like today had it not been abandoned.

Does anyone have any old/new photos of the furthest east building interior? I have a lot of trouble finding decent shots of its hallways and such. I consider part of it as the lobby to the music hall room.

Also any news on those recent photos of the west wing west side? Basement photos and floorplans?

So he put up a curtain in front of his "apartment"....some privacy, I guess.
When Zapfrog and I went through the factory (where I fell) we went in through a back entrance, stepping on a large board to get in. There were several "apartments" in there as well. Including a house and power cord brought in through a window. Well, on the way out, there was a HUGE....ummm.....human excrement....left on the board we walked on going in. I pointed that out, and said, maybe they are telling us something.....like STAY OUT! O_o

I'm telling you, I would have one HELL of a time walking on THAT old glass....after having accidentally fallen through a floor once in an old building! Lucky I landed in an empty hallway! Landed on my back, and cracked a rib....but....to walk on GLASS?!? I don't care HOW thick....
