Thanks, Motts! When I have a little extra time I'll do that. If I find out any date(s) for a fire or fires, I'll let you know so you can add it to your info about this place.
@Ravenna. Yeah, I heard about the pinky color supposed to be calming.. However, I hadn't heard that the lime green color was supposed to be calming, too. Thanks for the info!....They tend to paint the interiors of many of the elementary schools down here with that lime green color. Unfortunately, it hasn't seemed to calm down the rambunctious little ones much at all, if any! : )
I totally agree! Sturdy & beautiful looking builldings of any sort just shouldn't sit idle. It's a real shame for them not to be used for something worthwhile/good!
Yes! Nice looking building!....I wonder who is feeding all those cats for them to keep hanging around like that?

Mica makes a valid point, the hallway does appear to have been swept sometime in the not so remote past. What would have been the motivation or purpose behind this in a structure left to ruin?

UGH, it's HIPAA, people NOT HIPPA!!! If you want to toss around big terms, at least get them right!

BriceJenn----its HIPAA! NOT HIPPA. Also, chances seem to be that these records were abandoned long before HIPAA came into vogue. AND, technically, Motts is trespassing (and we're all thankful that he does!) so the expectation is that no one will have access to these documents. Clearly, Motts proves that this isn't the case =)

The film showing the machine operating in Sandusky OH just gave me new respect for a sight I take for granted. When you go out on Lake Erie in a pleasure boat you see the rusting metal hulks of several "elevators" the were used to load barges that plied the Great Lakes. There has been a lot of noise in Cleveland about preserving the ones just outside the Cuyahoga River. I do not think they are exactly this type, but seeing the operation and massive machinery in this post gives me more respect for the remains. They should be preserved. Thanks Mr Motts for a very educational post.
Whoops, didn't notice this was the last in this gallery. Thanks for another great gallery Mr. Motts. They always make my day.
I love the parapet, the wall texture and the windows.
Amazing how clean and white it is.
This would be a collector's item.
The lighting in this shot adds to the textures on the projector. I love the colours at the ceiling.
I think the chair cushion has broken open, exposing the white padding and the underlying horsehair cushioning.
A unique perspective of the chairs and angles, skillfully shot by Mr. Motts.
