He looks like a grumpy old bastard if you ask me
They look like they would hurt
I think I'd like one of those, they look like they might be fun. And also they remind me of those inversion tables where you can hang by your ankles. I have one of those and it does wonders for my bad back. 20 minutes upside down and everything kind of realigns itself.
I could use a couple of those in my office to keep my coworkers in line
I prefer the mall
When I was younger and doing store displays I worked out a deal with the manager of the Thom McCann store up the street. He let me borrow shoes for my mannequins and in return I put small signs in my windows saying "Shoes Available at Thom McCann"...free advertising in other words. It worked out great, my dummies didn't go barefoot and they got some new customers!
for some reason I like abandoned malls better than the live ones!
I keep coming back to certain galleries...and this one is a favorite. What came to mind this time is that this seems like it was pretty fancy and expensive furniture for the time, probably "top of the line" as they say. Which further makes me think that this family must have been pretty well off.
With my failing eyesight, I'm lucky I saw the three stars.
Every year my siblings and I say that we won't do so much and every year we end up spending more. This past Christmas I lucked out. I was going through stuff in my basement and I came across old recordings my father made. Several were actually recorded on a wire recorder in 1954 and then in the mid 1970s he transferred them to cassette tape. So I transferred them to CDs and gave them to family members with a little history of what they were and when they were recorded. One recording was my sisters 4th birthday party, she's in her late 60s now. The other was Thanksgiving 1954 and one from Thanksgiving in the 1970s. It was a bit eerie hearing my long gone parents and other relatives talking again, but it sure brought back some wonderful memories. I turned these into presents of three CDs and they were all well received. Sometimes the best presents are when you give of yourself, make something or bring back some good family memories.
Was this before wearing hard hats, steel toe boots and other safety gear was made mandatory?
It must have been hotter than hell working in this place
I'm sure the noise here punctured a few ear drums over the years
not something to mix cake batter in
Hey flushed, it's good to hear from you again. I alway enjoy your comments. For someone that's been through what you've been through you have a pretty good head on your shoulders.
