Can't really tell from this vantage point but there looks to be a lot of usuable STUFF down there!
We could use one of these rooms in this office I work in!
It would be a shame to let this go to the dumpster
It is, I have one just like it at home
who took the missing doors?
cool way to get rid of Thanksgiving leftovers - WHAT AM I SAYING?!?!
That would make a killer dining room table
Many times when they installed these magnificent bannisters, they would leave something - like a time capsule - in the newel post (that ball or square thing at the end of the bannister) in hopes that someone in the future would find it. Usually house plans or other documents pertaining to the property would be shoved in there. They're interesting to find.
I think I see Tarzan
Dave and Autoguy, yeah, they sure don't make dashboards like that anymore. I recall advertisements saying it had an "Electrolumeniscent Glow" to it and it sure did. I have never seen anything like it since. I regret selling that car but I still have about a dozen picture of her.
My biggest question now is, where are all these people living now that would otherwise be instatutionalized? Are they in prisons or on the street? I know that there are some resident-type organizations that house people who have mental or other issues in a home like setting (my sister works in one) but they certainly don't house the hundreds or thousands that these hospitals did. So where are all these people going today? It's too bad that they didn't have the knowledge we have now, back then. It may have done some good. PS- THANK YOU for sharing this with us Mr. Motts!
Is there a hard copy in the works? I'd be the first one to order one!
Ephemera: Dead Rollers
That wall paper would make me a little nauseous, especially early in th morning if I had that in my bathroom
Same here, I could so fill those up in a matter of seconds. Books mostly but also a very large video collection from film to tape to DVD.
looks like a mangled soap dispenser to me
