Now this looks more normal.
There is something un-utterably creepy about tile on WALLS!! Yes, I get that they're non-porous, sanitary and easy to clean, blah, blah, blah... but the tiled walls in these places alone would drive me UP them!! This looks like a bunch of theater seats installed in the bottom of an empty swimming pool. Even the color. Bizarre is the only word that comes to mind.
Now THAT would make a big grilled cheese sandwich :-D
Hideous BAKER MILLER!!! AAAGGGHHHHH!!!! (runs screaming in the other direction)
I know why they're necessary, but somehting about "windows into corridors with outside windows" always creeps me out < 8 -0
Hmmm.. this shade of blue would drive me up the (blue) wall pretty quickly, I think. Better than Baker-Miller, though!!
Wow. Lots of comments on this one. Mine would be AAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!!!!... This creeps me to no end. I even love SCUBA diving, but I absolutely refuse to go at night, in black, bottomless water. When my grandparents gutted and re-did their basement, they found a very old, rock-lined well under the floor. They put a huge iron cover on it, but we got to look down it first. I've hated dark water ever since...(8-o
STILL love the stairway shots, after years of looking at these...:-)
Makes me think of the way-station for Blaine the Mono in Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
This has GOT to be paint over tile...otherwise, how is this possible?
This looks almost like what would be left of someone who took an unplanned trip through a wood-chipper <8-O Creepy feel to this one, though I don't think it was intended.
Not sure why, but these kinds of sinks (especially in rows) always give me the creeps. The legs look "stuck-on" and "extra" and "in the way", and just coldly clinical. I know, I know, they ARE in an INTSTITUTION, but they always seem so "institutional" when used in non-commercial settings.Whenever I see a picture of a house with a sink like this, I'm creeped-out by the non-homey, "industrial" feel to it. I always want to scream "go down to Home Depot and buy a sink that's meant for a HOUSE!!!!!!" OK, small concern in life, but I don't want any part of my house to look like it belongs in a hospital.
Oh, hey, just a tiny spackle job and both floor and roof should be good as new :-). Should be able to finish in an hour or so.....
NIGHTMARE!!!!!
Wow. Can't imagine what it was like to have to be so careful like that.
