Could I get in trouble if I tried to visit this place and take pictures? I'm from CT and I want to do a photo shoot in an abandoned place but all the abandoned places in CT are closed to the public. Great gallery by the way.

Those are geri chairs. Used to restrain the elderly. 5 point restraints are too hard on an elderly body so these chairs have a "meal" tray you latch on and 99% of the time an elderly person with dementia can not figure out how to get it off - thus being restrained in a chair. Quite effective actually. They even recline.

This is coming from someone that used to be a guard at the old abandoned property. You did an awsome job with the photos and capturing the essence of the place.

Please tell me that dial really goes up to 11...

Due to the history of this building, I would suppose that the "hosekeeping" has long been a topic of discussion within these walls.

These stairs are great - kind of like and Escher drawing. Something is the foreground, but it's tough to tell what.

I believe that buildings like this were used to nicely hide machines that lifted boats or their cargo out of the water and onto a train or other storage/transit. I guess the windows would have been used for the same purpose as the walls - just for their dumb beauty :)

This is absolutely gorgeous tilework - was this in a lavatory area or in the main lobby?

The treatments were probably lotions and creams. The medications probably would have been in carts with many tiny drawers for each individual person.
