I was over that way today and stopped by to check on the medical building. Yes, they did just start to rip it down. Not a lot of damage to it yet but it wont take long on Monday for them to have it down all the way.

Thanks Twug I hope you had a good dinner also, and the rest of the folks here.

Lynne, Twug I was at Dixmont today and yes the derbies are very cold. Hell some of them even had snow on them. I got Lynne coffee can full for her office.

Lynne. I was not there today but I had herd about the fire early this morning. It was a house that sat on the edge of the property. Don't worry your derbies are safe. I will get some pictures tomorrow and post them on my web site.

Damn Motts when did you sneak in and take a picture of my office?
Patient confidentiality don't seem to apply in a lot of these old places once they close down. That is sad.

Pimp my wheel chair.
Maybe we could make our own show American Wheel Chair.
Seriously nothing like a place to have your wheels fixed or a place to customize you chair for ya.

It looks like the tube on the right might be an over flow. But I don't know what the thing is in the center.
This also reminds me of a place I used to work at. The building was by the river, and there were sewer lids that we would have to lift and climb down in to close vales to stop the river water from coming in the basement when the river would flood. You would have to access this from the 1st floor, by time you climbed down in to the vale you were a story and a half under ground.

Great picture.
Back in the day when they made this stuff they made it to last. Big and very heavy, but easy to work on.

Twug, Reed Hall is still standing, this is the fire damage from back in the late 90's. They started to clean out the dining hall, cafeteria. I don't know when the actual demo will start on that building. Don't worry we will keep ya posted, but there will be a lot of tears. :( :(

Hey ~Me Iv looked and seen no tunnel of love, so I guess this will have to do. Once we get on the ride do you still want to sit on my lap?

The fire box location card. One steel mill I used to be a firefighter in used a system like this. It was pretty cool. I wonder if the old ticker tape punch out real is still around this place?

psycadellic one I have to agree with you. The cap is stainless steel. Being it is a medical grade stainless it will not rust. So I would venture to say it is blood that has been diluted by concession over the years.

I look at that chair and cant help but think of the small child that struggled to get on and off of that chair.

Your going to need to get the garden hose out for that.
