my department still has the stokes baskits on our trucks. we dont really use it that much, just back boards. if need be we can use our ladder as a crane.
btw, the plastic stokes make great sleds = )

2 friends and i took a trip down there this afternoon. i agree its creepy and i was on the look out for police. we walked to the right building that foms a horseshoe with the fire damaged part on the left. the roof is falling apart and unfortunatly vandals frequent the site. swastikas plague the area and glass from the windows. We spent roughly 15 minutes there and then got the hell out. no police were seen on the trip. There is another site down the road a ways from there. its haunted and theres a story to it. Its call camp Kiwanee and we visited it as well. It should be checked out in the day as it is cool. its an old summer camp. The story, and a true on at that, is that on her wedding day, a woman was told by her butler that he loved her, she didnt love him and he hung her from a hook in her wedding dress in the top room. when she didnt show up when the wedding song started, the people there found him upstairs, he jump out the window, rolled down the hill and into the lake, they never found his body. the room where she was killed is there, and boarded up. i dont know anymore specifics from the story. ill give infro where it is if your interested. we walked around with out any problems from people there and it was pretty much abandoned. and i found a CB radio in an old destroyed town of hanson truck. theres a firestation there as well. check it out
