I had two great aunts that were patients at this facility, one I'm not sure why she was there but the second went crazy when her brother smothered her son by accident, she was sent there and died there. I was wondering do you have picture of the hospital before it was ransacked?

Where is the exact location? I have lived here for three years and cannot imagine where that is. I read some crazy stories about this prison. The new location is right by the post office I always go to, it is huge!

Im planning on going there sometime soon with a bunch of people...im scared..but i want to see it for myself..is there really wild dogs??? lol...what is the best way to get in to that main building..right down the front path??

I am so intrigued by these abandoned buildings, and the photos that all different visitors are able to capture. I am so curious about the metro and the other hospitals in that area...even the few that were abandoned but are still standing on the Mcclean campus.
I am currently at school right near the state hospital in Northampton, MA ...I think I will be venturing over there to poke around soon. Great photos Motts - I will keep checking back to see what new items you post.
