Much of this probably could be destroyed but it would require staff to oversee and probably a third party company to do the actual shredding. No staff and no money. We probably have a better idea this exists than anyone still working at the site.

Coming back to this gallery I find it interesting that the wall plaster doesn't go higher than what we think is the lowered ceiling. Other than the arch it doesn't look like the ceiling was ever any higher. Just my theory.

Could it be possible that the cage was at one time covering the entrance the bridge leads too. As the fence and grates on the lower level windows block lower level access?
