iIthink it is a good thing that they did that it is keeping the building from at least some damage. The windows cannot be broken and rain can't get in and destroy the floor and surrording areas nor letting the vines in. The mager problem is no natural light for great pictures but Mr Motts will take care of that for us.

It was stupid people that like to destroy thinks and tag things that are not theirs. Most patients are not allowed to become that violent the staff are at the patient's side to provent him or her from harming another patient or themselfs. and them they are put in the quite room and give medication and or restrains until they have commed down.

One of the problems is the windows are boarded up. which is also making it alot of the basement darker. I have noticed alot of negative remarks at alot of sites regarding mental health and those who are developmentally disabled. as lynn and others have said some staff may not be the best, but many are wonderful. I have worked in group homes for meny years and I have also have been a patient in the hospital. I have had mostly good experences I have had two very bad experences. But that does not change the good staff they are still good and that is where I continue to go .

The reason for the colors may be because they really didn't know that there was a relatinship between color and behaviors. Like Now blue is not allowed on psych wards because it has been found to cause depression so the use other colors. When you sign into the hospital it is writen in the addmmitting paper work from when I was admmitted for sleep clinic if for your safety of the safety of the staff we have the righ to use restraints. and that was for sleep study.

If you look at the opening page of this building it tells you about the building and the people that lived there. the people were keep active in the community by going on trips. maybe the reason the mural is not tagged is because there is a 800 bed meduim secuity prisoin on the rest of the buildings. so it helps to read the very first page.
