It was probably a specially made headrest for an individual, probably someone who needs head/neck support.
It is a shame that all of these things go to waste. Imagine the archaeologists of the future...what will they say about us?
Too bad this one was left to decay away, it looks like a perfectly salvageable (and usable) model, I know ofd several nursing homes and older hospitals with long term care wings that use these very tubs/whirlpools.
Are those tables stacked up back in the left corner?
Is that a screen that's open on the right window, or is it the window itself?
I thought Hunter was a fan company??? Can you tell it's been a long day in the ortho floor?
That type of bed would certainly be good in a dorm room, I know my kids hardly had any space at all, esp. freshman year.
I agree with V Vela, were any of these beautiful carvings, etc saved, I mean, even with a fire, those stone ornaments (probably marble altar) could have been rescued.
This is a great shot of the floor tiling, how intricate! Is that long thing on the wall a pull down screen perhaps?
It's nice to see they didn't leave something (the coolers) here to deteriorate, at least I hope they recycled them to another morgue or hospital.
I was curious about the light switch also, perhaps these rooms were used later on as offices or something such as that...the electrical wiring looks like an afterthought.
You are security but allow your brother and his pothead friends to destroy buildings, and you sneak in to the bowling lanes thru a window?
It looks like a hopper to me too....manymany of them in the hospital where I work.
My question is, how long had it been plugged in and abandoned? And just what was growing in there??
Too bad your brother was so fast, or that no one shared the fate.
