Maybe it was just a lounge on that Presidential Suite, like on some hotels, you get the balcony, this was probably an enclosed balcony. If you look above the windows, there are windows with drapes.
Whats all that stuff in the center of the stair well? It looks like that banester to the left in the front is broken.

It's a shame it had to be demolished.
I mean, imagine the people that stayed there, probably on vacation, or a buiseness trip.
I wish I could have been there when it was still operational.
