Yes, they definetly need a morgue because this was a "state school" and yes, people died while in the "state schools."

I agree with Matthew M. This is not a tomography machine. The tomography machine I worked on in the late 1970's didn't have a ceiling mount so that the arm holding the x-ray tube could swing back and forth.
This is a general x-ray table for any exam where the patient needs to lie down. My clinic replaced one similar to this just four years ago. It was replaced only because we went "digital" (no film).

I live maybe 30 to 40 minutes away from The Ladd School. Friends of mine have been there and they say it's super scary. But I really want to visit here this coming spring. It's cool that this is so close to my house. I live in East Providence, RI.

for the longest time i was convinced there was someone in the hallway. i'm slightly disappointed that there isn't. but it's still an awesome shot.

I visited this place around 2001. It was something teens in the area did when I was in Highschool. I remember it so vividly and have not seen the inside again untill looking at these photos. I remember lots of documents and lots more pictures on the walls. You have captured what it really feels like in there. Creepy...
