L&N chart recorders. Most power plants were full of them. You are right Mitch that L&N got absorbed into Honeywell. Too bad too because they made really great equipment.
Digging this one up, but I work in a residential facility - it kinda freaks me out that 30 years later, kids still sound the same. This could have been written by one of my kids yesterday.
Is this spot still here? I went back in 2012 and it was pretty difficult to get into, never made it to the 2nd or 3rd treatment buildings and I've been wanting to go back ever since, nonetheless I'm grateful I even got to see what I did of it.
Wish I could have went before the casino renovations, in 06 I was sadly 13 years old, didn't start exploring till 09-10', however amazing work and absolutely beautiful shots thank you for keeping this history of this massive insurmountable piece of architecture alive, cheers!!
Sadly, I don't think it's completely vacant anymore I live in Baltimore and really want to check this spot out. If anyone has any info please email me at 1234matt4321@gmail.com
I worked here in 1994/1995. This building was only used to store old stuff. The other building the tunnel led to was the main building, which you have no pictures of. I walked through the tunnel a couple times, but it was really freaky, so I avoided it. Lots of stories of weird ghostly things in the building you do have pictures of. Too bad you didn't venture into the former nursing home, it was much larger. It is a shame the entire complex was demolished. Vandals had smashed many windows and I am sure things got worse real fast.
The rotunda is the only part left of the building. The Tower was the only other structure standing as of 2012, but they're in the process of tearing that down too. A plaque like monument stands now near the rotunda about WSH.
Okay, good I'm not the only one who can see the half face in the lower right hand corner. Almost looks like a 1920's portrait of a man with a moustache.
