There is a public housing facility in Rockford ILL that has a similar round design. If you wander downtown New York one of the old hospitals was designed with all round rooms too. I the early 1900's ish it was believed that the round rooms prevented disease by limiting the places that germs could settle, they made a come back again in the 50-70's in some areas, but they always make for odd layouts.

The fake wood paneling on the wall takes me back to the 70s. Every mobile home in West Virginia had those walls. X-P

I love this photo more for the beauty of the sky and the grass then for the shape of this building. Yet on the other hand that dose give it a nice contrast. Kind of like a natural beauty and a man made beast.

I worked at Ladd School in the 1970s. This chair was usually used for patients that had severe Cerebral Palsy. There were a lot of patients that did and those that did usually had other medical complications. It was designed to keep the patient from falling out due to the lack of muscle coordination.
I have been there and know someone who worked there long ago. Thy dumped female bodies in the forest or dumpster after raping them and they despoited of male bodies however they felt

March 25, 1994--that was about 3-1/2 months before I got married!!!!

I was just finalizing my plans...wow...to think back it seems like forever ago!

And yes, we are STILL married to this day...just celebrated our 16th year of wedded bliss this past summer. :)
Can you imagine sitting on one of those without looking first....

*SQUUUICH* OUUUUUUUUUUUUUCHIIE!

Man...talk about taking one for the team...
Makes me think of Tiny Tim...and A Christmas Carol...

How sad this picture is!
