That's just........well......er.....hmmmmmm....scrummy!
Oh Motts! I just choked on my chocolate cake....the sarcasm, the irony. Classic, classic. I mean, what else could you have possibly answered to a question like that? :)))
me too. thanks lynne
I love the tunnels in the building. Thanks for the great pictures.
I realize I am just repeating what has already been said, but the blur of the picture really does make the person look like an alien! Nice.
(And all of us who have seen your "cupids demise" gallery, know that you are in fact great at portraits, Motts!)
Does anyone know what becomes of the brick when these places are torn down? Is it sold to be used to build other buildings? I love old brick work, and whenever I see these huge brick buildings torn down, I always have wondered where the bricks end up.

It's just a gauge, some valves, traps, and some other things I can't quite make out. Screwed pipe with most likely asbestos insulation. It's hard to see, but if that is in fact a trap, this would have been a steam line.
It's amazing to wonder what went through these patients' minds...if the scratches are indeed from patients, they may have been relieving their fear or anxiety, or as mentioned above, hoping that someday someone might go there and remember them..
I just can't keep my eyes off them...It's just so sad : <
I have been in the cemetery since they tore down the building. I feel that it is ashame that it fell into ruins. Me and a friend try to go and clean up when we can. We've take a lot of photo's and got a lot of great pictures.

if any one here is a gamer, you may relize that alot of the exterior looks like Dixmor Hospital For The Criminally Insane from Manhunt 2.

look down the hall, if you look real close, it almost looks like a figure standing there, of coarse, it could just be part of the window.
