Yah Susan and saddly the spell that makes it sleep is materialism, greed,a jaded and desensitized society, and everything else sad and ugly in the world.

Even though it's been battling the four seasons for 50 years, your photos show the true beauty of its design.
I wish it could be repaired and reopened so it could go on being forever.
Your photos give off the feeling of an enchanted realm that is sleeping, waiting for the spell to be lifted and waking the forest up to all its glory once again.
The heroic prince to this story must have gotten lost.
Never again will this castle or forest hear a child laugh.
There is something VERY wrong in that...

This photo would make a great background...
I think I see what you are talkinga bout XJamieX and I think that is just a shadow.
I can only imagine the emotions a stroll through this place, especially with a lover would bring. It is whimsical, sad, romantic, and a little eerie all at once.Something beautiful and innocent corrupting and withering away with time.

I'd be in absolute giddy awe if I was to go and explore this place! Abandoned amusement parks always fasinate me, and with this place depicting such a children-intended theme, it's got a creepy feel to it. It sucks that this place had to be left to rot.

For some reason this reminds me of that last scene in the movie The Blair Witch Project.
It's alittle disturbing to see a real person in The Gingerbread Jail.
I think it originally had a figure that looked like a gingerbread witch.
Okay, the fake shoes in the fireplace are
fah-reaking me out too. LOL

looks like an entity in the window to the right.
Actually, this is Cinderella's castle. There were dioramas all throughout the castle that played the story out. They were set behind those huge stone frames you see in this picture.
The hole is the result of arson.
There was an Alice in Wonderland/tea cup ride also in the EF. The ride brought you underground.
There was a tree above the tunnel that you were able to see Alice suspended in mid air, as she fell through the white rabbits hole.
She could also be seen in the tunnel falling, along with other dioramas that played the story of Alice out.
