I live in Md where the Enchanted Forest was. I have a good deal of pics (color and b/w) of me as a child enjoying the park. I still remember a good deal of the place although a great deal is missing since then which is such a pity. Such a lost innocence. It would be neat to add these to the site as well. Mott if you are interested please contact me. You could add them if you like. I will sign any release necessary but would like to keep my pics and want NO reimbursement whatsoever. derickdallas@hotmail.com

Really interesting angle. Can you imagine being a little kid and seeing this?
I don't know if I'd want to venture in there!
Almost looks like a candy cane heart frame that displays a very dis-enchanted picture.
Quite the design, who ever thought it up.
These photos are amazing! My grandparents used to take me and my siblings and cousins here as little kids and I have so many memories of the place. I have pictures at home too! So it's interesting to see how it looks now. I wish it were still open!

When walking threw the castle did you see anything that used to be there about the story line or even just remind you that there were children there?

None, the concrete floor was solid in most places, the decorative structures were in bad shape.
How many times did you fall through the roof? It looks like if you sneezed, the whole place would collapse.
I wonder if the paint in the room is blacklight reactive and if they had one going when this place was open?

You're definately right.
That's why I'm so glad that these photos were taken before neglect or a wrecking ball takes it all down.
And I love your comment from 7-27-05.
You really hit the nail on the head describing what it would be like to walk through now.
So sad to see such beauty go to waste.
