Alright! Another gallery of photos from Northwood Asylum!.....The linens in this casket actually look quite pretty, especially when you consider how old they must be!
@W'force Hi! I don't know how 'old' a man you are, but my husband and I are 56 & 53, respectively. So you see, Motts does have some 'older' followers! Additionally, we're into photography as a serious hobby.....Anyway, we would purchase a book of Motts' photography in a heartbeat!
Motts, I've really enjoyed this wonderful gallery! On to the next one!..... : )
@Patty. I don't think most of the patients there would have viewed the doors 'as freedom'. I think most of them would have viewed the asylum as 'home' and would have felt pretty comfortable there.
Wow Motts! The ceiling beams in this asylum really are massive!
If there wasn't soundproofing in the walls of this room, I don't see how just having a soundproofed door helped all that much. Especially with the transom window above the door!
Motts, I thank you for this pic and the Wallpaper. I think it's the most awesome photograph I've ever seen! It definitely evokes many emotions.....As for other photographers, I say just ignore them and keep on doing what you're doing. Why? Because it's definitely working for you! : )
@Michelle Consider yourself hugged!!! : ))
@deb I totally agree with you. Most mentally ill individuals are not violent people. It's a real shame that the media is always portraying them that way!
@kevin douglas. Well now!!...All I want to say to you is: ''Those of you who think you know it all, are very annoying to those of us who do!''
My Goodness! What dark imaginations most of you have! : (( I couldn't help but notice how pretty the wall mural was. Thanks for sharing this photo with us, Motts!
