is this in the sme room that is sectioned off from the rest of the hospital? Perhaps it was an impromptu bathroom hastily constructed to alleviate overcrowding by creating more facilites. As for the Stairs- again- if the place is 1- bloked off from the major facility and 2- overcrowded, one fire exit won't be enough. If you're running for your life from a fire, ypu're usually advised to leave wheelchairs behind... and so nurses and orderlies would have to carry those unable to walk.

many commens by viewers are about the tormented souls that still lurk around the spacious campus, and yet noone makes it their responsibility to help these people move on. If anyone may be interested in helping any lost souls that might be trapped in this horrid place please feel free to contact me--

Connie, Im not sure if your uncle was a patient or a worker but either way the story should be told. No one is trying trying to personally attack you or your family, we just are interested in the facts. If you care to share, feel free, if not, just don't comment.
I would love to be able to visit Pennhurst. Im a local and have heard many stories of the place that make me worry of stepping foot on the premices. I don't want to be charged with trespassing from the police or being scared by homeless people. I am just very curious and would love a first hand view. If anyone could ease my worries that would be wonderful.

hmmm... give a a minute to ponder this. b:

Looks like one of those pictures that are meant to brain wash the patient? Not in an illusion type way but more of a symbolic way. It seems that it's saying that the children are out casts and don't belong in OUR world which is why they are black sheep. The crocodiles I think are supposed to represent those of the perfectly fine minds of whom look down apawn them and how they treat them cruel which is why we see one bighting a lamb on the leg. The rainbow, which the lambs are climbing, must represent the sanctuary of the hospital away from the big bad world.

Basically what this picture says is: "You don't belong in the out side world because you are different and you're only choice is to suffer hear." =/
