Is it true that there is still Electric in Pennhurst, someone told me that one of the Exit signs is still lit up. (ive been there once, but didnt get to see much because I didnt know where to park, I got pics only of the outside)

what is that thing painted on the back wall? It looks like some sort of creature with a bunch of eyes.

They're probably to prevent kids from climbing them.

My school (a normal high school) uses metal mirrors that don't seem to have been polished for decades. You can't see anything in them.

The molding around the edges is a design called Egg and Dart. We have it in the historic movie theatre here in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

That's right, metal sheets cannot shatter and be used as a weapon or for suicide attempts. The sheets might've distorted after they were drilled into the wall; one of those "it looked like a good idea on paper" kinda things.

It looked like sheet metal wrapped around the pole. I know they sometimes plate doors and corners with metal near the floor where wheelchairs and gurneys are commonly used to prevent dammage, but this is strange.

i think at the time they where more concerned with the patients breaking the glass and cutting themselves with it, so they installed the next best thing.

cmon now silkster read the description.....the image is distorted because its not really glass. its metal or possibally plexi glass which distorts the image to "look" like a funhouse mirror

I had to come back to this and look again... I don't think that was one of your friends..( unless of course you recognize the face... ) it looks kind of goulish to me - and I agree with Kerry it seems to be coming through the window pane
