A shame such beautiful decor is left to rot away into nothingness.

I've seen polished chrome mirrors at a few high schools in not-so-nice neighborhoods for the same reason....to prevent them from being shattered and the shards used to harm people.

IS that a wheelchair or is she riding one of those turn-of-the-century bicycles with the one giant wheel? Hard to tell amongst the cracking.

Sick as it sounds (and as dangerous as it would likely be).....it would be kinda neat to see what kind of fireworks come out of THAT baby if you turned it on in its present state!

Maybe they left select lights on for "security" reasons. There are a few closed down restaurants and stores in my area and the power's been on there for a LONG time with no occupants. (too bad I missed out on the three-day demolition project of one old dumpy restaurant)
