Chalk up another WONDERFUL gallery!!

This place looks like it could be from a horror film, or some fancy private school in movies like "Dead Poet's Society"

Oh captain, my captain!

"Follow the red tile floor!" LOL!

I think those are skylights that are illuminating the hallway...you can see a light fixture between the two far ones.

Cait,
They could've been adhesive letters and someone simply peeled off the NOT from that locked cabinet door.

But I concur, there probably was a NOT on there at some point.

Boy, if you didn't have issues with claustrophobia before staying in a room like that, you sure would after a few days.

Motts, this was wonderful...so sad to see that ancient architecture rotting away...glad you got to see it before all of it had crumbled into nothing, although I'm sure we'd ALL want to join you in the Wayback Machine to see its former glory.

Stupid pyros...sad that they had to torch the places and destroy such lovely architecture.

Lynne,

I used my cell phone's crappy camera to take that shot. Upon looking closer at it, I couldn't see much further detail....it had the stainless steel "frame" and what appeared to be a glass front. I wasn't sure if it was for emergency purporses or some other odd use.

Man, what a MAZE that looks to be! Sort of a Kirkbride in chaos.

Wow, amazing shot that really illustrates the vastness of it all.

Just how many gallons did that puppy hold, anyways?

What lovely architecture.

They just don't build 'em like they used to...now they're all boxy looking industrial things....devoid of any charm whatsoever.

Sad that the hall is now gone....from the scorched marks around the windows, it looked like maybe demo had to take place to prevent an unforunate collapse that may have injured someone. Still sad.
