STRANGE, indeed - where ARE the cobwebs???? That lamp - i like it.
A lot seems so clean and orderly........weird........

My huge 1937 house, properly lived in, has cobwebs all over & everywhere - am constantly cleaning dusting & looking out for.....

@eldokid nah, it didn't look like the power was on. Plus it's all old knob and tube with who knows what nesting behind the walls - a good way to start a fire.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall seeing any indoor plumbing like a bathroom, tub or kitchen sink, but it's been a while. Maybe there was an outhouse out back...

I couldn't find one.

@eldokid Yes, although they were more common for larger purchases. I found a bunch in an old hospital that were all hand-written, with giant letterheads that had wood cut prints of the company's logo or building, from somewhere in the 1880s.

@Mark Hard to tell with the image sized down for the web, but it was dated as well as stamped on 9/7/1945, you can kind of see it on the bottom.

The receipt looks like thermal paper from a modern register (within 30 yrs or so).

Seeing this paper and some of the set ups in this house I wonder if someone maybe did some filming in here.

If there's a definition of filthy habit, a pic of that ash tray needs to be with it. Yuck!

Was there a basement or cellar?

That's it, looking at this house I knew it reminded me of something. Great movie. Great photos.
Breathtaking gallery, thank you. One question, did this house have a bathroom? Indoor plumbing? I don't recall seeing any.
The cobwebs that is!
It's really a shame that all this gorgeous furniture is just sitting here forgotten, when it could be sitting in my house being used and admired!
Nice! As usual, looking forward to the next!
Autoguy, that's a double electrocution device the zombies put together LOL! Ok, maybe that didn't make sense but I'm LMBO
