BKW - cheap laughs, mostly. Hoping to scare someone else but I would simply write " by taking us to a mental ward" below it as a screw-you to the artist.

The only time I've ever seen something along those lines that was NOT funny in an urban-exploration gallery was a picture of a reddish stain on the wall that a resident medical student on the site identified as "arterial spray"...AKA "cut vein spraying blood".

bobo - wouldn't work anymore, but I agree, that's a plus. At least it wouldn't leave a horrid mess.

"Place Value System"...sheesh...I don't even remember HOW I learned decimals anymore.

Isn't it crazy how much you learn from this site mica? On a school gallery no less, hahaha!!!

Seriously, the site community here rocks.

...funny how things fall into perspective when you're grown up, isn't it?

That seems backwards. Shouldn't "out" be on the right? Wonder what the rationale was there?

Would've loved some skylights at my school. Our cafeteria was in the basement and the lighting was cold white tube bulbs.

mary, my thoughts exactly.

All the "welcome" and "goodbye" speeches from the principal...all the plays and recitals...all the PTA meetings...so much history.

I'm appreciating the magic of those times as my life "comes around for a second pass" and I shall soon be sending a little one off to sit in a seat like that one not too long after me and my fiance tie the knot. Gives you nostalgia something awful.

Tootuncommon - mine had one almost that big. Freaking scary when you're chosen to be in the school play and you're still knee-high to a grasshopper.

Reminds me of my old grade-school theater, except all the seating was portable.
