my great grandfather died while he was employed at Kings Park in 1969. He reportedly fell off the roof of a building. My grandfather worked at KP until just before his death in 1972. Does anyone know anything about the Corcorans of Kings Park?

My mother was just recently put into Plgrim State, should I be worried? There aren't any more shock treatments and things like that anymore is there? I admit, I'm nervous about it.
I have a strong suspicion "Andrew", et al. made that story up to make people angry.

I remember many hours spent in that room! I was in the graduating class of 1973. We lived in "Home 69", ...the co-ed dorm! I remember parking in the circle, walking thru the grounds, working on the wards, etc. We were the first class to wear the new uniforms...how we hated them! Got a great education.

I am a graduate from the class of 1974. I have fond memories of being a nursing student at Pilgrim. I lived in Building 71. Those were good days

I must agree that it is to the outsider, who may have a distorted picture of how these facilities functioned, that everything becomes like a horror story. Some lack respect. I am an Autopsy technician, and think it it best to leave these places
alone because of respect as much as potential hazard. The same reason we are very particular about who we let into the morgue area while we are working. I have invited some, but had to throw others out. Above all, be
careful. And save a prayer for the mourners...

when i worked in KP alot of the patients had burn marks on their backsides legs arms, all from the radiators, and although they did make covers for them, these covers had a crisscross pattern on them, the n "new burn " pattern was seen.

people who have to trash places and break things also have a tendency to be violent; places such as Pilgrim have a lot of patients who start out like YOU. Be careful, you just might end up on the wrong side of the key.
