Many of these places arent that creapy in the BOO haunted way. They are creapy in the fact that alot of mental pain went on with in these walls. They are more sad than scary.

Many of the various psyc. hospitals on long island do have a tunneling system under the entire campus. These tunneling systems were used by patients and doctors post surgery and for the patients that could not go out side for various mental issues. I have been in the tunnels under the CI hospital and have met former workers at CI. I have spent countless hours in the abandoned buildings there. Most of the underground tunnels are like a large map with a simple grid system.... No string needed Tom...

These are incredible - and still so shiny. They must weigh an absolute ton... not surprised they were left in situ.

I was in there the other night...looked in a room saw a dried up puddle of blood, with a wet fresh pool of blood on top of it .

Your photos are wonderful you have a very dalented eye. Seeing all these wonderful homes abandoned just breaks my heart .I would do just about anything to being able to buy and restore just one of these beautiful homes. They just don't make them like this anymore and that's a real shame.
