I have watched this building all my life . i see it every time i pass on the highway. If they turned the existing hospital into condos they could have sold them for double. i think the interest peple have in the building would have had buyers lined up. It's just such a shame to see it now.

DaveWilly,

Equating all grafitti to tagging is like comparing Renaissance art to a 5 year old's drawing. Tagging is grafitti but not all grafitti is tagging, and neither are just symptoms of disrespect or stupidity (sometimes, but not always).

As for those lovely examples of physical punishment you mentioned, I assure you, no one ever turned out the better for abuse.
"What are you doing here?" Reminds me alot of the Richardson Kirkbride in Buffalo, NY

Like Lynne said..Storage, lighting for the attic...or upper floors...I would love to have my room in the attic and have a dormer like this in it!

I hate graffiti..taggers its all crap. want to do art..put it on paper not walls of building, trash cans and bathroom walls and gas pumps...just proves how stupid one really is and just how disrespectful they are....they never should have allowed school spanking, elec. shocking, dipping in hot wax or use of the stockades to have been removed as punishment!...Kids and teenagers would be much much nicer these days!

Would love to have the banister in my house.....but not the "ART"

drBob, when transporting patients, would you walk them through these doors? Would there be just one attendant and one patient? Sorry, I'm just curious as to how it worked. Seems a little scary to me...

Big ED, if you're still here, do you know what's happening with all the bodies that are buried on the grounds? When they're tearing up the place for the crappy new condos, are they leaving the bodies or removing them to another location? I keep thinking about Poltergeist, where the cemetary was supposed to have been moved but wasn't really, and the spirits were very unhappy to have houses built over their graves!

Anyone? Where are the graves going?
