I was thinking the same thing about the bars...but they are steel so recycling them into something else would be my guess being back in steel country.

It looks like there would be a lot of placed to hide out all round the buildings. One could come up with some digging time or weapon making time hidden in a corner

It would be intimadating to be there alone but yet hear others all around you..but not have contact with them. as it was designed for in the early years.

as old as that window is...look how great it still fits together...

its a jam packed place inside the walls thats for sure. My wife is a detention officer, and she talks about the walks they have to do every 15 to 20 mins.....this place would driver her crazy! she walks about 10-15 miles a day in some of the jails we have here they figured it out when some of them got pedometers...I bet it would double at this place!

Yeah thats something no one has time to deal with anymore in a building....but it sure is awesome

I bet it was cold in that hallway in the winter as tall as it is.

That would be the door to take home and put in as your front door! no more unwanted sales people or flyer woudl left hangin on that door!
