Unrelated but... Bechtel built a power station out at Millmerran ( west of Brisbane) a few years ago. They had a 65 percent fail rate when the boiler tubes were x-rayed. Bechtel's solution was to get rid of the x-ray people
From the power stations I've worked in on shutdowns, they look like coal shutes where the coal is pulverised to a fine powder before being injected in the boilers. However the doo hickee that should be below these pipes are gone. Look around depending on how many turbines, should be 2 for each.
