Just look at the design of this theater...the tile is in remarkable condition, the combination chairs/desks are elegantly made, and the ladders and shallow stairs help to compress the space to maximize occupancy. Really good architecture and design happened here, but it usually did back in the day.

I'm left-handed - it wasn't until I was in college that I knew that left-handed desks were actually built. My entire life was in right-handed desks and I just thought that was the way the world was. In fact, I'd become so accustomed to right-handed desks, when I sat in a left-handed desk in college, I found it awkward feeling. (Ok, so I'm a little weird, lol).

Looks like an ugly florescent light fixture on the ceiling in the center panel. Imagine the ugly harsh light in a room like this. I agree with Rome, there should be a chandelier there.

If only I had the thought to take photos of the defunct autopsy theater in the basement of Cook County Hospital in Chicago. It was just amazing.

Good Morning-

I'm licensing photographs on behalf of a theater company who is hoping to use this photograph as part of a slide show during a performance. How might I go about submitting an official permissions request?

Thank You,
