Most definitely; many state hospitals became strapped for cash and could barely afford to keep enough supplies for their patients by the 1960s, and renovations that focused on utility rather than preservation are common.

Was it on Fort Street? I used to get sandwiches there... it still has that lovely ceiling, though a bit on the rough side.

I believe that would be part of Ward F, the female infirmary. It does seem disproportionately large, though it is original. I imagine the space was used for ventilation machinery.

I am totes curious about the attic space on the building to the right. It's huge!

This would make an awesome cage for a large pet bird! A Parrot or Cockatoo maybe. So tall - so many levels!

Paint colors are excellent. Almost looks like a world map showing deserts, plains & small lakes.

This piano looks to be in fair shape. All of the keys appear to be intact. I'd bet those are real ivory over wood. Not the plastic crap they put on them now.

It does remind of a train. Must be the shape. The room certainly looks structurally sound. Lovely brickwork!
