Art Nouveau Style - new and modern then - pretty.
..........but nobody..................no-one and
None of ALL the incomers, the invaders, the intruders, the thieves, the visitors and vandals wanted to admit, acknowledge and show of their presence visiting this abandoned + forlorn mausoleum......
as there is No Graffito Scribble Anywhere to be seen /in pictures/.
Was there any anywhere, Motts?

This is certainly a impressive photo. All the other bones...they don't strike me, but this one is so distinctly...human.

OR, perhaps this is part of a Casket-A-Pult, for hurling caskets over city walls, as seen in 101 uses for Zombies.

Sure, it's likely that some 2nd generation relatives are EXISTING. But I guess they don't know about James. I don't know where my grand-aunt or somebody like that is burried. And after WWI- maybe the rest of the family moved to an other part of the world? Still, it's odd that he's still lying there, forgotten...

Who could they just forget about this location and the persons that have been buried there?

Motts, as a funeral director I urge you to report these conditions to the board in whatever state this is located in. This is incredibly sad to see.

I wonder if someone was trying to make a "Hand of Glory" with this?
What a Gallery! Thank you so much, Motts, devoted votary..
Pictures good & skillful.....but subject uncertain & wavering /to me/ -
have never seen anything like this........
- nor could i ever imagine seeing a absolutely completely biffed knocked-over thrashed pulverized (and what not), old mausoleum -
am exhausted - but OK - and very grateful, indeed.
May you always be well is my wish.

Creepiest shot of the whole site

Possibly because of the colour of the jawbone as well as the placement.

So - still in use as recent as 1942? Wow, this is much younger than I had thought

That is a good question, 1921 is well after WWI and the Spanish influenza, so some family members of the 160ish potential burials should be around. Of course, they would be 2nd generation at least.

Per Wikipedia, Body Snatching in the Victorian Age would have already died out when this was build. So, it's probably not that then. . .
