Ugh... don't care about pigeons one way or the other, but I can only imagine what sorts of diseases must be lurking in all of that mess...

There is a strange beauty to this, yet it feels so sad at the same time... great work!

If the goal was to have a person's core temperature be the same as the temperature of the water, then the water temperatures would have to be in a fairly narrow range. A person can begin to experience hypothermia with a core temperature of 89 F or below. Unheated swimming pools are often about 84 F. Brain damage can begin to occur with a core temperature above 105 F. Some health clubs maintain their hot tubs at 104 F.

love your pics. this one kind of makes me sad to think that those boxes are a representation of what ppl do to others that don't fit in society. just slap a label on them and pile them in a room and forget about them.

I know this is kinda silly, but the piano looks like it's taking a bow following a performance...
where is that place
Well, I discovered, quite by accident the REAL name and location of this place!! Not that I ever would reveal it of course (so don't ask). I just happened to purchase a book where the topic was a certain hospital's history. As I was reading it, I thought to myself, "I've seen this place before but where?!" Then it hit me, that it was HERE that I saw photos of the location. I must say I prefer Mr. Motts photos over the ones in the book that were of when the buildings were in use. But it is nice to go back and forth and compare the place over the years and see how it has evolved.

Yes, must have been real good-looking back in the days of splendor, these windows and the whole room..
They painted the tiles! Weird.
Ohh goodness.!!!! What were they THINKING???
Well, at least it is still saved while the ones responsible are trying to make up their minds what to do about it. Or not.
Or have forgotten completely. Or pretend to have forgotten.
We human beings ! Not clever at all, we are.
Thank you for the Wallpaper. Picture i like!
Heavy traffic in this corridor for sure - all those tiny, and may be not tiny paws scuttling along. It gives the picture a lot of life. Thank you! Love it!
