Wanderer glad you are back safe and sound from Europe, you do get around. Yeah I had some vino was a tad melancholy. LoL, don't pay too much attention to what I post sometimes... Now where in the world is our Ratchet? I really do miss his "info".. and his posts. He seems a very nice man.

just got back from London but thinking of the OLD GIRL no news is good news- somebody had Too much vino reconstruct halcyon - lpn woke up gives me time to save money for Bennett next year i think PWR evacuated from us ---huh PWR ---say there PWR what's happening with Wing castle still open during weekends
The people living/working/whatnot in that big nice white House below - every time the look up...they see
There is a Mansion on the Hill...
And a decrepit ramshackle one in distress.......at that
- Wonder what it feels like.
Yes, we are all good, dear lpn, + Fun Every Day Wine Relaxation!
( Happy for you: Inventive For The Win!)
- and i am thinking /a lot/ about how and what the families living all around The dilapidated decrepit Halcyon/BennettS.F.G. are thinking, too, seeing this run-down ramshackle every day. Must be such sadness to grasp....depressing also.....
May the road rise to meet you, lpn -
and we will try to stay updated, and keep posted. OK?

Thank You Mica, sorry for my rambling post. I had enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine after a stressful day. I think it is starting to sink in what a loss for everyone when Halcyon is finally taken away from all of us. I was also thinking of Wanderer and the frequent visits. I know it is way too late. What a loss for everyone. Sad realization.. The wood parts are rotten or gone. I do wish there was a way to preserve the rock other than a terrace. The craftsmanship can not be duplicated. I know it would cost a fortune to recreate it. I think there will be real sense of loss for the community when it is leveled and gone. I am sure they will not mention the hassle of trespassers and vandals. Thanks again Mica I appreciated your kind words.
Angle aspect! Thanks Celeste. This place: letting light into the stairwell is so excellent; and resting-places going down/up is so clever + kind.
Dreams & Visions are wonderful. Great imagination is lovely.
May you always be well is the wish, lpn, with fantasy outlook & view.

I forgot daycare great mix with kids and older people. Day care seems to have always been an institution at Bennett/Halcyon. Might be time to continue that service. Just and idea... and as a bonus put in a new "Grape Shade" on a lower level. Halcyon could have a third act. The old floor pan would not work, the outside should follow the plan.

Not much news ever Mica.. This may sound stupid, if you had enough money to stabilize the rock walls and interlock all the chinmeys together to the wall. Cover the condo completx with that new wrap they are using to save homes from fire in the west. And do a CONTROLLED BURN. The wind would have to be the right way. Hopefully the asbestos pipes or most of them would fall to the cellar. It seems it would be a way to get the worst parts away from the best the stone. Then concrete construction up to code and close to the original plan as possible. A nursing home for the community. A nursing school. Through a state vocational college, Upper floors could be ball rooms for weddings , or groups. The entire lower level could be store fronts, salons, pottery barn would fit in in addition to the nursing program . Art and Music could be brought back to bennet from nearby junior college. Entertainment for the guests of the nursing home and assisted living. If 80% of it was for elderly care, that might bring in state and federal money. Jobs and job training for the community. You could have a laundry plant in the basement for the facility and probably big enough to serve the community and it would be new and efficient. Health care and a small hotel.. that could grow. The living center and training would create 100's of jobs for locals. Never much traffic at assisted living. This building is big enough to have a multi mix of business. This set up would leave the green space intact. More condos are possible from the 2 dormitories. I think it could work. and it is a historic building.. Medicare money comes in fast for seniors that money alone could carry the place? Mutil use and a way to get rid of the rotten is they key. We need to keep the skyline look intact.
YES, nice to see you too, and: Exactly!
I don´t know what it is with Halcyon..............either....
but it is on my mind. A lot.
And am so far away in Sweden - how can i find facts? It´s difficult.
May you always be well, lpn.........

Mica nice to see your post. I do not know what it is with Halcyon, sometimes I just have to drop in and see what is going on. I think it is such an awesome building, even today.
YUP, dear wanderer, thanks, - i did - yes, fab is just the first word.
This old building has Big Soul showing.
We love it so much and are puzzled; we contemplate, ponder + wonder. Such a riddle all has gone so wrong.
