Excellent photograph.. almost disturbing. the very fact that someone was once constrained to this room and we see the bed they once slept in is a powerful aspect...
Agreed.. but also, invokes an entrapping sense in the viewer, looking out into the outside world through bars , the interior is equally as subdued as the environment within.. Great photograph.
Totally encaptured by these pictures, oddly i don't know why.
As for the above image, It's not the first time a picture has been taken with a person in the scene, it does look like someone else is viewing one of the rooms, i would'nt put it down to being a spooky shadow figure at all.
Window image - Zoom in 250, you'll see it's in no shape or form a humans image, just a trick of the eye.
I love the fact that we have such a deverse group of people that visit this site, and I have got the chance to broaden my mind with their comments. There is nothing wrong with finding spirits in photos, Alot of people do this. I dont see it as demeaning to Motts artistic photography. Of course I cant speak for Motts, but im sure he appreciates all of our comments as long as they are not abusive or derogetory.
Yes, the plexiglass is great, and also the fact that it's lit at night and you are allowed to photograph it is really great; it shows that the city hasn't shunned the hospital, they are quite proud of it.
Ive worked in a hospital for fifteen years and I have never come across a tub like this. I dont think people *need to get out more* I think its just that they have never had a chance to come across these types of things. Especially if they have never been in patient care or any kind of health care. just my two cents worth.
