Do the shopping carts belong to former homeless residents of the building maybe? (Were there hobos living there ever?)

Where I live most of the old buildings have been in use since the 1850s. The building I work in right now is now the PHF for the county; however, at one time it was the county hospital. The basement is way creepy. It was the mourge as well as the insanity ward. Now it's just storage.

I've already got permission to take a camera down there. Now I just have to remember to take the camera to work.

From reading the older comments, I've noticed a few names that are no longer active.

I've been exploring old buildings for years. A few years back we had a whole bunch of them here, that were open, and you could walk right in. All of these have become re-occupied again except one which burned to the ground.

Since I've been carrying a camera, I haven't found any that were 'open', but I have walked around the outside of a few. There are several along a major highway that takes you to Atlantic City.

is that a fire hose hanging off the top landing?
I like this one, that door is very cool.

I've been reading and finding that this is a group that I could learn alot from.

I've explored a few places in my hometown when I still lived there, but I never had the foresight to take a camera with me.

Now all that I have to explore where I live are old Gold Mines.... And there isn't much interesting inside a hole in the ground.

Don't worry, Truckie. Sometimes when you wake up after a nice long rest you'll find the mistakes weren't half as bad as you thought. :-)

That's exactly how I feel! I have done that so many doggone times!

DAMN how come you always notice a mistake after you hit the submit button?
I hate it when my fingers type faster than my brain can think. I got to go to bed now I've been up since 2:30am, hell I got to get up in a few hours any way. Damn 3:30am is going to come awful fast.

Hey, rich_edwards79, if you wanted, I could arrange for you to get a phone like that. I'm a member of the ATCA (Antique Telephone Collector's Association) and I'd be glad to help you out. Email me at: krasicky 49451 @yahoo.com (without the spaces, I'm hiding from spam and stuff).
Let me know what colour you might want, and it won't cost you a fortune. I have some good friends who probably have just what you want...

No problem. Well I don't know if you really want a truck of derbies but I could send you a coffee can full of derbies.

Long exposure. It's nice to think they're shooting stars, though, isn't it?
