Hi, my name is Lyric, and I'm an addict... I have been addicited to Opacity for a couple months now, and have only begun to comment..
I have found myself looking at the Comments board and News at least once a day at work, at home I am much worse.. I am also a pusher. I have pushed opacity on my spouse....
AND I REFUSE TO STOP!

The average inpatient stay is 12 days. Men are more likely to be hospitalized for alcohol and/or substance abuse issues, and people with those issues generally have a longer stay than those without as they need to detox as well as get their other issues handled:

Don't know how many people would book a tour of a Jail, though. They're generally not someplace people would want to take the 'wife and kids.' Well .. unless it's a famous Prison. That's different. Look at Alcatraz ... but it's infamous due to film.

When I served my time at the County Spa - 43 days for traffic ... long story, not wreckless or DUI, though - they had an "InstaHot" water spigot in the sink for our use. It was a lot safer than giving us a microwave and it worked well enough for making Top Ramen (NEVER can eat that stuff again), instant coffee (gag) and Hot Chocolate. It also worked really well to soften up Jolly Rancher candies to make roses out of them ... hey, when you're locked up you get bored. Call it "Arts & Crafts." I can also take a Playtex Tampon, coloured pencils and a stencil to a white sheet of paper and make it look like airbrush. Ahh ... life ... it teaches us so much useless stuff.
P.S. Nice lighting fixture.

Or you might find the respect that we show each other here, a bit retarded when it comes to you"
As I have been reminded by my lovely partner, that Ack is normally decent folk, I would like to take a moment and remove my toes from my mouth.
I apologize if that was a bit harsh, but only to ACK, do I make this apology. I will not apologize to anyone else who comes along and uses that word to describe a person of challenged mental capacity.

re·tard1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r-tärd)
v. re·tard·ed, re·tard·ing, re·tards
v. tr.
To cause to move or proceed slowly; delay or impede.
v. intr.
To be delayed.
n.
A slowing down or hindering of progress; a delay.
Music. A slackening of tempo.
Nowhere in that definition does it describe someone who is Mentally Impaired.
So I suggest you learn a new descriptive word.
Or you might find the respect that we show each other here, a bit retarded when it comes to you.

What's better is that I am learning to appreciate all the work that goes into Mental Health Care.
I know that it is a field that is sorely in need of the right kinds of people to go into this section of medical care.
I have also learned more about the old ways of treating illnesses, and that it isn't the 1800's where you can be a lobotomy candidate for masturbating.
You do Motts, this site, and us a great service by being here and working to advocate proper treatment and care of the patients. I am proud to read your comments and rally behind you as you remember to {thump} us all on the head with the knowledge you posess.
Thank you very much for all you do, both here and on your job.

Um ... I plead the fifth. I haven't hit rock bottom yet, I'm just a "Social Opacity User."
