Great picture Muffin. I really enjoy seeing the same item photograped by different people. It is always interesting to see the different perspectives of the artists/photographers.

Nothing so far. The plan is for some of the property to become a park with the mansion's foundation used as a formal garden. Originally, the school building was to be used as a new location for the village library. Alas, the building structure was found not to be engineered to meet the wieght stress of the stacks, and the water damage due to neglect of the structure was much worse than originally thought. It looks as if it too will meet the wrecking ball.

My family spent 2-3 February school breaks at the Pines. The food was amazing. We loved the ice rink and indoor pool.

Whoa... Way to heavy! Dr. Sketch perscribes some humor for this picture: I don't think that's the easiest way to sterilize people, is it? :D
Just to throw in, it isn't always just doing a large load of equipment; sometimes large items need to be sterilized too. Having received burns from items out of an autoclave before (my own stupidity), I can't imagine how anyone would think this could be used for torture: no one would survive it! I'd rather be forced to think about sitz baths all day than think about being in a running autoclave!

I grew up right near the hospital and my Grandfather was one of the WPA workers that built the facility. At the time there were only a few roads going into the area and my Grandfather once commented that you could hear the screams of the patients from a mile away.
My hubby later worker on one of the last buildiongs when they added a new phone system. He was allowed to observe an autopsy while there. He still remembers the poor guys name.

This is it! This is the one! If I could get any picture of yours in print form, it would be this one! This would be the perfect example of how to do IR correctly, and should be used in every photography class. (Are you blushing yet? :D ) I'm serious, though, this picture is one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot in my time.

I will take full credit for opening the door...it was really hot and I thought it would be nice to walk into the fridge to cool down. It was a big mistake opening the door,it stank to high heaven.

This is where a violent inmate would be held. Solitary confinment. You seem to forget that if they were alone with you they would kill you.
Shoot them all I say! Yes, my opinion however, rude you find it.
Living like that is just waiting to die and I am here to expidite the process.

The bars are there so inmates cannot throw each other over the side. At least they only get thrown once
