Yea, all the boarding up is very interesting..its just very common to see only the first floor boarded up. But I think everyone's stated some good reasons for it, furniture flingers, falling out, etc etc, still peculiar looking tho.

So out of context with the asylum. What tender moments might of taken place on this romantic sopha. Was it from a madman to a madwoman who made some kind of bizarre marriage vows , or from a family meeting trying to resolve deep problems.
