this photo says a lot about america today. from a distance i imagine this lofty funnel looks awesomely impressive, as i imagine babel might have. the foundations are neglected and forgotten, grey and exposed. from this angle we can see, but are powerless to intervene.

It still amazes me that so much detail goes into creating these works of art and they are left to decay and we are the only ones who care or notice. I am glad that these photos capture the moment before all the beauty is lost to neglect. Thank you for that Motts.

These seems almost musky. I feel cold inside this picture.

The Spirit will follow the one who has taken from these places. The children who lived in Pennhurst went through hell for many many years of their lives. I work in a group home where one of the women from Pennhurst now lives. She has told me of some things from there, she feels the spirits of other children who passed while she was living there.....

The time will come when the spirit follows.....just wait.....you'll see

Especially because I believe it looked EXACTLY like this all those years ago when it was in use. Pretty darned strange of those people, wouldn't you all say?
