It's just hilarious that they would go to the trouble of plastering the sinks............and leave the soap.

this place is right down the road from where I lived for over 30 years and never knew was there. the pictures are too eerie & spooky. could be a twisted suspence/ horror/ thriller movie. one shoulod be made. reminds me of "Session 9" w/ David Caruso. good flick, if you like being on the edge of your seat, watch it.

now it is torn down & a super Wal-Mart. will be there. store might end up being haunted. be careful when shopping there!

I worked at NSH from 1980 to 1996. This bldg, Salmon Bldg., was closed in 1972. It had been used as the maximum security ward for the criminally insane. That job was transferred to the Whiting Forensic Institute in Middletown at that time. Many of the employees who worked in the Salmon Bldg transferred and opened up Whiting.

I climbed my favorite tree as high as I could. "mom, what is that strange building out there?" "That's where I work ,I'ts pilgram". "N000, I mean the one with the strange roof way out there". "oh that's Edgwood, It was a TB hospital,you had to be a certain age to work there, I never went back." "well I did. Diane and I went on our bikes. I wanted to look out the top window thinking that if I was brave enough to be in that scary place in its' highest window, I'd never be afraid of anything again. As if escaping fear would solve all problems. After two steps, a glance to the left of a pitch-black windowless room with an 8" freezer-like door and a most powerful fear that could have said..."don't go in...,["just in case"],I never went back. This was 1976. If I was as brave as I was when my rode tour friends and I (T-P'd) the streets and tore up the orange groves in 79 Ca. And if I knew what I know now I would either be dead or in jail. I shda cuda wuda documented and photographed everything in site. History is here now. It's being able to recognize it in it's present purity that takes talent. It is wonderful to know there are people like me who wonder in amazment and posses a childlike curiosity to ruins, Art-Deco,scary things and the macabe. peace.

We have sinks like that in the football stadium at my college. People have a terrible habit of wadding up paper towels and dropping them in.

Hey, I live about 5 mins away from two old hospitals. One they tore down, and put up a strip mall. The Hospital Was called, Pontiac State Hospital... and it was BIG!! it had about 30 out buldings for staff and Docs. It covered about 600 acs. I played Paint Ball in there when I was younger.... I WISH I HAD A CAMERA... it was JUST LIKE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, undefinedthe new one). They had pens in holders still on the desk, with half writen letters, and cig. buts still in the ashtrays! lots of tunells, all over the place!!! and old hospital stuff every place!! The Other hospital, is now called Oakland Comunity College. Highland Lakes Campus. The Main Bulding was a TB Hospital dateing back to the mid 20's I think... Funny enough, the Main bulding on the campus, is the old hospital, and thats where they have all of the medical classes! HAHA. The computer tech bulding is the old childerns wing, and above that, the baby's wing undefinedREALLY CREAPY UP THERE) The Old Elevators are sitll there, working and used.
