Ideally the shapes would be coloured in, not just outlines, hense the 'shadow' name.

They're critical in an aircraft maintenance situation (although they call them shadow boards as they just hang on the wall, not in a locked box). You have to ensure all your tools are back on the board on before you can clear a plane for flight.
Holy Shiznips that's freaky! I've seen many, MANY ghosts in my life, and one actually saved my life. It was an occurrance that involved 2 ghosts. I was in my kitchen and I had a knife on my counter and it flew at me. Luckily, my great grandma (Who died when I was 5) threw open the fridge door and the knife didn't hit me. I am sooo greatful for her and bless her soul. By then both spirits were gone and it never happened again.

This photo makes me wonder about who had to use this "perambulator". It also is kind of comforting to think that maybe this chair enabled someone to have a bit of some kind of a life that they couldn't of had laying in bed all day.

More quotes in relation to the comments above:

"Humor may be defined as the kindly contemplation of the incongruities of life, and the artistic expression thereof."
-Stephen Leacock

"Humor is perhaps a sense of intellectual perspective: an awareness that some things are really important, others not; and that the two kinds are most oddly jumbled in everyday affairs."
-Christopher Morley, Inward Ho

"Hazing is an extraordinary activity that, when it occurs often enough, becomes perversely ordinary as those who engage in it grow desensitized to its inhumanity."
-Hank Nuwer, Wrongs of Passage
I'm the treasurer of the CTRC and we are a non-profit group who owns the building and maintains it. We are going to be celebrating our 10th anniversary next year. We run events monthly during the late spring to early fall. Check www.buffalocentralterminal.org for details.

PS - It was designed by Alfred Fellheimer (co-architect of Grand Central) and Steward Wagner.
